Family Vacation Planner is operated by Get Goings Travel ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Account information. Your email address and a securely hashed password when you create an account.
Family roster. Names and phone numbers of family members that the account owner adds, so our planner can recognize them when they call.
Interview answers. When a family member calls our AI planner, we collect the travel preferences they share — for example preferred climate and setting, budget comfort ranges, dates and holidays that work, home airport or city, ages of children traveling, and accessibility or mobility needs. We use these answers solely to build your family's vacation recommendations.
Call recordings and transcripts. Calls with our AI planner are recorded and transcribed so we can build your plan and improve call quality. Callers are notified at the start of each call.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we keep only your subscription status and Stripe customer reference.
Feedback and votes. Thumbs up/down votes on recommended destinations, used to refine your family's plan.
To run the service: ranking destinations against your family's needs, preparing your recommendation report, sending the transactional email and SMS messages that operate the product (verification, invitations, reminders, your finished report), and providing support. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Service providers that run the product on our behalf: Stripe (payments), telephony and AI voice providers (to run the planner phone line), Amazon Web Services (hosting), Resend (email), SMS delivery providers, and flight-pricing partners (which receive route and date queries, not your identity). Within your family group: the account owner can see each member's interview summary, and everyone who receives the report link can see the family's recommendations and votes. We may also disclose information if required by law.
The service is for adults 18+. Information about children (such as ages for kid-friendliness scoring) is provided by the adults planning the trip; we never interact with children directly.
We keep your information while your subscription is active. To delete your account and your family's data, email GetGoingsTravel@gmail.com and we will remove it within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or legal reasons.
Family members receive SMS messages because the account owner added their number to the roster (invitations, reminders, and the report link). Reply STOP to any message to opt out.
Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed with bcrypt, and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure — if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will notify you.
